We are taking new members for our 2012 CSA (Meat & Vegetable Subscription).
What is CSA?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture and represents a unique relationship between local farmers and the community in which individuals pay in advance for a seasonal share of the farm’s harvest. Farmers benefit by having a more secure market for some of their crops and having money at the beginning of the season for costly inputs such as seeds and fertilizers. Members benefit by gaining access to the freshest, highest quality vegetables in their community.
Our program includes weekly shares of seasonal vegtables for 12 weeks starting Mid-May until Mid-August.
Each week will include $25.00 of produce, herbs and fruit. Our produce is grown without any use of artificial fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides of any kind. The CSA subscription fee is $300. To secure your spot in the CSA program $150.00 will be due by March 1 and again by May 1.
A late Summer/Fall CSA will also be offered beginning Mid-August until Mid-October. This also will include 12wks of produce, herbs and fruit. The CSA subscription fee is $300. To secure your spot in the Late Summer/Fall CSA $150.00 will be due June 1 and again August 1.

You will receive an email at the beginning of each week letting you know what the contents of that week’s box are expected to be. Here is a list of some of the items you can expect to receive each week in your box:
lettuce, mesclun, arugula, cabbage, kale, greens, herbs, broccoli, spinach, turnips, Swiss chard, beets, radish, carrots, green onions, sugar snap peas, snow peas, squash, zucchini, patti pan, Vidalia-style bulb onions, garlic, green beans, new potatoes, various herbs, heirloom tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, green beans, peas, sweet peppers, eggplant, heirloom fingerling potatoes, onions, sweet corn, okra, cantaloupe, various exotic melons, fall squash
Fruits will be limited but when available you can expect blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, figs and muscadines. From time to time we will partner with fellow farmers we know and trust to offer things such as peaches and apples.
We will also be offering honey, jams and bread.
NATURAL GRASS FED BEEF
We offer several options for our grass-fed beef. CSA, individual or bulk.
The meat CSA subscription fee is $480 and includes 6 months of meat. You may enroll at anytime. Delivery will be on the first or second week of the month and will consist of $80 worth of pasture raised beef. The box will include roast, ground beef and some other cut of meat. The meat CSA subscription fee of $480 is non-refundable and is due with your application. The number of CSA subscriptions is limited and allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. Payment along with your application will secure your subscription.

Small Family Pack $45.00 includes 2 ground, 1 stew, 1 chuck roast, 1 sirloin steak.
Large Family Pack $75.00 includes 4 ground, 2 stew, 2 chuck roast, 1 sirloin steak.

IMPORTANT: Please be aware that a CSA is not for everyone and that not all CSA’s are alike. In order to handle the volume, we pack all of our CSA boxes the same which means you are not able to select what goes in your box and we only provide locally grown, in-season produce. If you are expecting out of the season produce (like tomatoes in May) in your CSA box or if you want to choose the contents of your box each week, you will be disappointed and should not subscribe.
